On December 5, 2013 Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) signed an agreement with the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia) and UTair Airlines aimed at establishing a maintenance centre for the Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft (SSJ100) in Ufa (Bashkortostan, Russia).
The document was signed by the President of the Republic Rustem Khamitov, by the Chairman of the SCAC Board of Directors Mikhail Pogosyan and UTair Director General Andrey Martirosov.
In accordance with the Agreement the Government of the Republic will provide the hangar facilities at Ufa International Airport on a mutually beneficial basis, as well as several free parking stands for SSJ100.
Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company and UTair will be responsible for the establishment of the state-of-the-art maintenance centre for the Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft. The centre is expected to become operational in the second half of 2014 when the first SSJ100 will be delivered to UTair.

We hope that formal procedures connected with creation of centre on Sukhoi Superjet 100 service will take not much time and in 2014 this centre will start to function and take for technical service aircrafts purchased by UTair company. We will create all conditions so that this centre could hit stride, become modern. We have all necessary to provide its work. The main thing is that we have specialists. We have avia- and engine-building of very high competence. Undoubtedly the Republic of Bashkortostan, Ufa has the advantage in this sphere. We will not fail. We will work».

In 2011 Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, UTair Airlines and VEB-Leasing signed a lease agreement envisaging the VEB-Leasing acquisition of 24 Sukhoi Superjet 100 and their leasing to UTair Airlines. In August 2013 at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS the companies signed a tripartite agreement for the delivery of six Sukhoi Superjet 100 in its long range version (SSJ100 LR) to UTair Airlines.
